The remaining tickets for the Qatar World Cup 2022 will go up for direct sale starting next week, according to the International Football Association(FIFA), which confirmed that 1.8 million tickets had already been sold five months before the event.

In an official statement, FIFA Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis, to give fans another opportunity to secure their seats in the grandest football event on earth.

The new round of reservations which comprises 200,000 tickets only, expires on August 16th, according to the International Association.

“With all 32 qualifying teams now confirmed for Qatar, huge worldwide interest is anticipated in the new sales period,” it concluded.

FIFA also reported that Qatar, Canada, England, Germany, France, India, the UAE, Saudi, the US, and Spain were the top nations where fans purchased the most tickets.

Individual Match Tickets will be available across all four price categories, with category 4 tickets reserved for residents of Qatar. Fans will be able to purchase up to six tickets per match and a maximum of 60 across the entire tournament.
