Interview with H.E. Ahmad Alqaseer, CEO of the Sharjah Investment & Development Authority (Shurooq)

At the 7th Sharjah Investment Forum, H.E. Ahmad Alqaseer, CEO of the Sharjah Investment & Development Authority (Shurooq), discusses with Economy Middle East the new projects led by Shurooq which include a residency in Khorfakkan, Ajwan — a residential development comprising 185 sea-view apartments and a water park. Construction is expected to begin by the end of the year, with a projected handover in 2027.

Given Sharjah’s status as the largest safari destination outside of Africa, Shurooq is developing an African-themed hotel in Kalb, featuring 35 keys. This project is scheduled for completion by the third quarter of next year.
