Italian jewelry is among the favorites for UAE customers with almost 1 billion Euro worth of Italian precious items imported to the UAE in 2021 (+108 percent vs 2020; +10 percent vs 2019).

Earlier today, Italy inaugurated the exclusive Italian Lounge at the 50th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show in Sharjah.  

A total of 47 Italian companies are participating in the Watch & Jewellery Middle East Show, where they are showcasing their latest collections.

Italian producers are finding a strong market in the UAE. Made in Italy Jewels are widely appreciated all over the world with  90 percent of the national jewelry production exported abroad. 

Amedeo Scarpa, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE said, “The UAE is one of the most important countries for Italian jewelry manufacturers, and jewelry continues to be the first item in value exported from Italy to this country. Italy is the 3rd supplier of the Emirati market, where 90 percent of jewels are imported, and the demand for Italian precious items has steadily grown, registering a 25 percent increase in the first semester of  2022 to reach 560 million euros.
