The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) in the UAE has announced that a total pension disbursement of AED810,693,576.22 (approximately $220 million) will take place today, Friday, September 27. This amount reflects a notable increase of AED91,728,008 ($25 million) compared to the same month last year, when pension distributions amounted to AED718,965,568.68 ($195 million).

In September 2024, 48,735 pensioners and beneficiaries will receive their payments. This represents an increase of 1,916 eligible individuals from September 2023, which saw 46,819 recipients.
The beneficiaries consist of civilians covered under Federal Law No. 7 of 1999, which establishes the Pensions and Social Security Law, as well as those whose files the GPSSA manages on behalf of the Ministry of Finance.
On July 26, 2024, GPSSA disbursed AED794,520,346.03 ($216.31 million) in pension payments, benefiting 48,199 pensioners and beneficiaries. This marked an increase compared to July 2023, when AED711,323,785.25 was allocated to 46,835 recipients. July 2024 saw 1,364 more pensioners and beneficiaries and an additional AED83,196,561 in payments.
In March 2024, the UAE government increased pension payments for the month compared to the previous year, reflecting a rise in the number of beneficiaries. A total of AED766,457,286.56 ($208.7 million) in pension payments was released on March 27, 2024. Compared to March 2023, when approximately AED689.8 million was disbursed to pensioners, the value of payments for March 2024 has risen by over AED76 million.
