7X, the investment and holding group focused on trade, transport, and logistics, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Etihad Credit Bureau. This partnership grants 7X access to the Bureau’s advanced credit data platform, which will be instrumental in evaluating the credit security and stability of businesses engaged with 7X and its subsidiaries.

The agreement was officially signed by Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, group CEO of 7X, and Marwan Ahmad Lutfi, director-general of the Etihad Credit Bureau, during a ceremony held at 7X’s headquarters. Senior management representatives from both organizations were present to witness the event.

Commitment to operational efficiency

Alashram indicated that this collaboration underscores the company’s commitment to seamlessly integrating with government services to boost operational efficiency and reinforce its standing in trade, transport, and logistics. He described the agreement as a key milestone in their digital transformation journey, reaffirming their dedication to innovation and excellence. He emphasized the value of meaningful partnerships with both public and private organizations and expressed anticipation for close collaboration with the Etihad Credit Bureau to unlock new avenues for success and elevate the UAE’s status on the global stage.

Enhancing credit information access

Lutfi conveyed the excitement of partnering with 7X, aligning this collaboration with their vision to equip government entities with essential credit information to enhance their credit, collection, and auditing policies and frameworks.

He mentioned that the aim is to facilitate seamless digital integration to simplify access to credit information. This will enable organizations to make informed and strategic financial decisions.

Advancing UAE leadership vision

This agreement exemplifies the shared objective of both entities to advance the forward-thinking vision of the UAE leadership, thereby fostering enhanced cooperation between the public and private sectors.

Collaboration with EtihadWE

In October 2024, 7X also formalized a partnership agreement with Etihad Water and Electricity (EtihadWE), thereby becoming a verified whitelisted entity on the ‘Wayn’ platform, the UAE’s Digital P.O. Box. This collaboration highlights the commitment of both organizations as they aim to provide efficient and secure services for managing correspondence and invoices. This will significantly improve the overall customer experience.

The agreement was finalized by Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of 7X, and Yousif Ahmed Al Ali, CEO of EtihadWE, at 7X’s booth during Gitex Global 2024, with representatives from both organizations in attendance.

The ‘Wayn’ platform is designed to facilitate secure and reliable digital communication for EtihadWE’s clients, ensuring the protection of their personal and sensitive information. It will also allow EtihadWE to process and settle invoices and transactions online in a secure and convenient manner.

Strategic partnership with Urbi

At Gitex, 7X signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Urbi, a leading geo-intelligence company. This MoU aimed to utilize Urbi’s geographic information system (GIS) technology solutions for logistics enhancement. Under this agreement, Urbi will offer technological support to 7X and its subsidiaries aimed at improving logistics operations.

The MoU was signed by Abdulla Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of 7X, and Alexander Sysoev, Chairman of Urbi. This agreement reflects the commitment of both entities to streamline delivery operations and create new opportunities for technology-driven logistical solutions.

The collaboration will explore integrating Urbi’s advanced mapping and geospatial technologies into 7X’s operations. This includes EMX, Emirates Post, and other entities. It serves as a foundational step toward a more extensive initiative.

This initiative will involve developing a comprehensive ‘base map’ with detailed information on residential and business listings. It will also include APIs for geocoding and reverse geocoding. This ensures precise customer locations for accurate deliveries.

Additionally, route optimization, utilizing Urbi’s real-time data, will enhance operational efficiency by reducing delivery times and costs.

GIS technologies are transforming the logistics sector by streamlining delivery routes, lowering operational costs, and improving service reliability.

In response to this evolution, 7X is harnessing advanced technologies. It is also forming strategic partnerships, such as the one with Urbi, to address changing market demands.
