Abu Dhabi Airports and Groupe ADP have recently announced the extension of their partnership to develop Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) infrastructure in the emirate. The main focus of the partnership extension will be the operation of ground infrastructure for AAM services in Abu Dhabi.

“Abu Dhabi Airports is committed to playing a pivotal role in bringing the transformative potential of Advanced Air Mobility to our region,” stated Elena Sorlini, managing director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports.

This innovative system integrates cutting-edge flight technologies with sustainable aircraft designs. Therefore, it aligns with Abu Dhabi Airports’ vision for a more efficient, convenient, connected, and sustainable future for air transport.

Building on their previous agreement which they signed at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2022, the decision to extend the partnership follows extensive stakeholder engagement and feasibility studies. In addition, it follows market assessments by Abu Dhabi Airports to establish a clear roadmap for AAM capabilities within the emirate.

“Our collaboration with Groupe ADP, leveraging their globally recognized expertise in airport infrastructure and operations, will be instrumental in realizing this vision and reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a global aviation leader,” Sorlini added.
