The Advanced Mobility Hub and LIFT Aircraft Middle East conducted a successful live demonstration of the HEXA light sport passenger electric aircraft in Abu Dhabi, showcasing the aircraft’s latest technology, advanced safety features and eco-friendly propulsion system.
With its three-axis joystick, three-axis autopilot system and all-electric propulsion mechanism, HEXA is designed to revolutionize personal air mobility through safe, easy-to-use and emission-free flight.
LIFT Middle East’s live flight experience took place during the 4th ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium 2025 and the Global Sustainable Marketplace. The presentation was attended by government ministries from various countries participating in the symposium, underscoring the global importance of integrating advanced air mobility solutions into the region’s transportation infrastructure.
Global hub for advanced aerospace technology
The Advanced Mobility Hub and the AeroX Sports Club project represent a major leap for Abu Dhabi and the UAE in pioneering the next generation of transportation. By fostering innovation, attracting advanced technological solutions and creating an integrated air mobility ecosystem, Advanced Mobility Hub and Multi Level Group (MLG) are setting new industry standards and positioning Abu Dhabi and the UAE as a leader in the global aviation industry.
Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, director general of the GCAA, stated that providing this direct experience of the electric light sport passenger aircraft operation in Abu Dhabi is a continuation of the various trials conducted by the UAE and ongoing efforts to regulate this vital sector and transition it into the commercial operation phase.
Al Suwaidi emphasized that the GCAA is keen to regulate this emerging sector according to the highest safety standards, ensuring its safe integration with other aviation operators. This is achieved by preparing the legislative environment and infrastructure necessary to embrace this emerging technology. Electric aircraft are an integral part of this new reality and the future of advanced air transportation.
LIFT Middle East launches in Abu Dhabi
Advanced Mobility Hub, a member of Multi Level Group, in partnership with LIFT Aircraft Middle East, has also made a groundbreaking step in the future of air mobility with the launch of LIFT Middle East in Abu Dhabi, an initiative that aims to assemble and manufacture light sports aircraft in the UAE to the Middle East, making the region a global hub for advanced aerospace technology.
“We are pleased to witness the launch of LIFT Middle East, an initiative that further strengthens the objectives of the Smart and Autonomous Vehicles Industry (SAVI) cluster to establish Abu Dhabi as a global hub for smart and autonomous mobility solutions across air, land and sea. This significant development underscores the forward momentum of the efforts led by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council to solidify the emirate’s position as a pioneer in urban mobility and a leader in industries of the future,” noted Badr Al-Olama, director general of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO).
The Smart and Autonomous Vehicle Industries (SAVI) cluster aims to position Abu Dhabi as a global hub for smart and autonomous mobility by fostering innovation, investment and strategic partnerships. Through collaboration with industry leaders and policymakers, SAVI is driving the future of sustainable, intelligent transportation.
AeroX Club project to redefine light aerial sports experiences
In addition to this milestone, the two entities have unveiled the AeroX Club project, a pioneering platform that will redefine light aerial sports experiences in urban areas. The Aerox Club project aims to provide access to a new generation of light sports, paving the way for a new era of light personal flying and air sports experiences in the Middle East. The project seeks to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global destination for the development and use of smart and autonomous systems.
“Through LIFT Middle East, we are building a foundation for local manufacturing, technological advancement and widespread adoption of lightweight personal aviation solutions. The AeroX Light Sports Club project will open up a new world of possibilities, allowing aviation enthusiasts and professionals alike to experience the future of aviation in a safe, innovative and accessible way,” stated Matt Chasen, CEO of LIFT Aircraft.
