Abu Dhabi is set to host the inaugural Global Rail Transport Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference (Global Rail) this year at ADNEC Abu Dhabi. Etihad Rail in collaboration with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI), ADNEC Group, and dmg Events will host the flagship event.
Fostering international dialogue
Held under the theme ‘Setting Transport Infrastructure and Global Connectivity in Motion’, Global Rail will attract leaders in the rail and transport industry. It will bring together more than 15,000 senior decision-makers, thought leaders, and 1,000 delegates. Moreover, it will host over 300 exhibiting companies from more than 40 countries.
Global Rail’s three-day agenda will feature six thematic streams, with over 40 keynote addresses, panel discussions and fireside chats. Topics will include global trends, sustainable infrastructure and multimodal integration challenges. Moreover, experts will discuss the sector’s environmental impact, regulatory frameworks, financing, logistics and advanced security practices. With more than 120 speakers, the event promises to spark meaningful discussions and drive actionable insights.
For his part, Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of Etihad Rail, highlighted the consistent support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and the UAE’s wise leadership. “This support is further underscored by the establishment of Global Rail, which provides Etihad Rail with a platform that will enrich the regional transport and logistics sector,” he added.
Region’s future vision
Commenting on the inaugural Global Rail conference, Suhail Al Mazrouei, minister of energy and infrastructure, emphasized the importance of the railway sector in the UAE and GCC countries. Hence, it acts as a vital aspect of the region’s future vision for growth. The UAE reiterates its commitment to the sector by creating a global platform to support its development.
“Global Rail will contribute to forming partnerships and concluding future agreements in conjunction with the launch of the next phase of our journey,” Al Mazrouei added.

Global Rail
Abu Dhabi’s Global Rail conference aims to explore new areas of development in the UAE and the region. It seeks to support socio-economic growth, economic diversification, and international collaboration to reduce carbon emissions through alternative transport solutions. From October 8 to 10, the event will provide insights into the next generation of rail transport. Moreover, it will discuss smart rail systems and the implementation of artificial intelligence in automating railways.
