Abu Dhabi’s Most Noble Number online charity auction raises $22.81 million

The Most Noble Number online charity auction, organized by Abu Dhabi Mobility, raised AED83.784 million ($22.81 million) in support of the Fathers’ Endowment campaign.

Proceeds of the online auction, which kicked off on March 11 and closed today, will go towards supporting the campaign which seeks to improve healthcare across underserved communities. This includes developing hospitals, providing essential medical equipment and medications, expanding capacity and upgrading operating rooms.

Launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, the campaign honors fathers in the UAE by establishing a sustainable endowment fund to provide healthcare and treatment for the less fortunate.

Auction features 444 special plate numbers

Abu Dhabi’s Most Noble Number online charity auction featured 444 special plate numbers, including regular vehicle plate numbers 10 (plate code 20) and 99 (plate code 2) as well as motorcycle plate numbers including 5 (plate code 1). The auction also featured an exclusive set of classic car plate numbers.

Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi, praised the strong participation in the online charity auction supporting the Fathers’ Endowment campaign. He viewed the generous contributions as a testament to the UAE community’s commitment to supporting charitable initiatives that assist those in need and improve the lives of less fortunate communities worldwide.

“We are grateful for the outstanding success of the Most Noble Number online charity auction, which will help the Fathers’ Endowment campaign provide sustainable healthcare to those in need and enable patients in vulnerable communities to access treatment and medication. This reinforces the UAE’s leading role in global humanitarian efforts,” he added.

The funds raised during the auction were the result of wide participation and generous contributions from businessmen, leading humanitarians and philanthropists keen to support the campaign and its noble aims.

Dubai’s charity auction raises $22.76 million

Dubai also held a Most Noble Number charity auction recently which raised a total of AED83.6 million ($22.76 million) to support the objectives of the Fathers’ Endowment campaign launched ahead of Ramadan this year.

The Dubai charity auction featured 25 special numbers including 5 vehicle plate numbers from RTA, 10 du mobile numbers and 10 e& UAE mobile numbers. Total bids for RTA plate numbers amounted to AED75.9 million. Bids amounted to AED4.732 million for e& UAE mobile numbers and AED3.045 million for du mobile numbers.

Muhammad BinGhatti, Chairman of Binghatti Holding, participated in the Most Noble Number charity auction, with total bids of AED44.2 million.

Special plate number DD 5 sold for AED35 million, DD 12 sold for AED12.8 million, DD 15 sold for AED9.2 million, DD 24 sold for AED6.3 million and DD 77 sold for AED12.6 million.
