UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan engaged with several international leaders who are in attendance at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025.
During these individual meetings, His Highness welcomed His Excellency Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda; His Excellency Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia; His Excellency Christopher Luxon, Prime Minister of New Zealand; and His Excellency Petteri Orpo, Prime Minister of Finland.
In his welcome, His Highness expressed gratitude to the esteemed guests for their participation in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. He highlighted the UAE’s commitment to nurturing collaboration and developmental partnerships that benefit all parties involved and promote shared prosperity.
Strengthening bilateral relations
Moreover, the discussions were centered around enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and the nations of Rwanda, Malaysia, New Zealand, and Finland. There was a particular focus on expanding collaboration across a variety of sectors, especially in sustainability.
Additionally, the meetings covered critical topics from the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week agenda, emphasizing its significance in raising global awareness regarding sustainability challenges.

His Highness underscored the importance of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week as a vital global platform for dialogue, idea exchange, and expertise sharing aimed at advancing sustainable development. This initiative plays a crucial role in international cooperation to tackle urgent global challenges, particularly climate change.
The visiting leaders conveyed their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for the warm hospitality.
