The daily flights between Sharjah International Airport and Velana International Airport in the Maldives will commence on October 27, 2024.

Air Arabia, the UAE low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has announced the launch of its new non-stop flights between Sharjah and the picturesque Maldives islands.

Convenient and affordable travel options

The daily flights between Sharjah International Airport and Velana International Airport in the Maldives will commence on October 27, 2024. This new route will provide travelers with even more convenient and affordable options to explore one of the most popular destinations in South Asia.

Schedule from and to the Maldives (all times local)

Flight G9 091 departs from Sharjah at 08:00 and arrives at Maldives at 13:20. The aircraft used is an Airbus A320, and the flights operate daily.

Flight G9 092 departs from Maldives at 14:20 and arrives at Sharjah at 17:55. Additionally, the aircraft used is an Airbus A320, and the flights operate daily.

Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer, Air Arabia, expressed his delight at adding this enchanting holiday destination to the airline’s expanding network. “The launch of our non-stop flights to the Maldives highlights our commitment to offering our customers more travel options and connecting them to some of the world’s most breathtaking locations,” he said. He further added that this new route from Sharjah reaffirms the airline’s dedication to providing seamless connectivity and value-driven air travel to its passengers.

The Maldives, known for its pristine white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and vibrant marine life, is a tropical paradise in the Indian Ocean. Moreover, Air Arabia’s fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, the most modern and best-selling single-aisle aircraft in the world, will operate the new Sharjah-Maldives route. Also, the cabin configuration across the fleet provides added comfort with one of the most generous seat-pitches in the economy class. The aircraft is further equipped with ‘SkyTime’, a free in-flight streaming service that allows passengers to stream a wide selection of entertainment directly to their devices.
