Future stage to highlight tech advancements and entrepreneurship in global travel sector

As the global travel industry gears up for a transformative year ahead, Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024 will host over 100 of the world’s leading travel technology companies at its Future Stage, formerly known as the Travel Tech Stage. ATM 2024 has already sold out its Travel Tech space, which will be 56 percent bigger than last year. Due to the unprecedented demand for participation from companies, this year’s edition will see a 33 percent increase in exhibitors looking to showcase their innovations in front of a global audience.

ATM Future Stage

Sponsored by Sabre, the ATM 2024 Future Stage will feature more than 100 expert speakers from the global travel and tourism industry. The stage will also showcase a selection of innovations aimed at improving efficiency and profitability within the sector. From AI-driven solutions to sustainable travel initiatives, ATM 2024 will delve into discussions exploring the intersection of technology, sustainability, profitability and professional development within the travel industry.

Danielle Curtis, exhibition director ME, ATM, said: “My colleagues and I are delighted to introduce the ATM Future Stage, which will harness the ever-increasing levels of innovation our industry is witnessing while building on the long-standing success of our Travel Tech offering.”

Embracing technological evolution

The global travel technology market recorded a value of $9.4 billion in 2022. Moreover, Allied Market Research expects it to reach $21 billion by 2032. ATM 2024’s Future Stage will spotlight opportunities within this dynamic space with multiple presentations and sessions including:

  • Navigating the future: A futurist’s prediction
  • Strategic capabilities and implications of AI within business
  • Putting the traveller first with AI
  • Unlocking the value of travel: Harnessing technology for enhanced traveler journeys

Showcase of innovation

ATM 2024 will host the third edition of the ATM Start-up Pitch Battle in association with Intelak. The competition will include some of the region’s most promising startups that will showcase their innovations in front of judges. ATM 2024 will also feature a ‘Best Use of Technology’ award at its annual exhibitor awards for the first time. The exhibition will evaluate the exhibitors on how and to what extent they have embraced and deployed technology on their stands.

Several tech giants will also participate, including Huawei, which will sponsor a summit on China’s tourism surge on the ATM Global Stage. “With an exciting combination of ambitious startups and well-established brands, this year’s Travel Tech space is perfectly aligned with ATM 2024’s theme, ‘Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship’,” added Curtis.

Fostering collaboration

Beyond technological advancements, ATM 2024 serves as a platform for policymakers, industry leaders and travel professionals to forge new relationships and exchange knowledge. Moreover, it gives the stage to innovators and highlights how they are driving progress towards a net-zero future. With a record attendance of over 40,000 professionals and 30,000 visitors, ATM 2024 will set a new record this year. Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) will host ATM 2024 from May 6 to 9, 2024.
