Bahrain, represented by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and the Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), won the 2021 Eventseum Hall of Fame Global Innovation Award for Convention and Conference Centres for the regions of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Bahrain also won the award for “New Construction” in the IMEX 2022 exhibition, one of the most prominent global events dedicated to incentives, business, travel, and tourism conferences, being held in Frankfurt, Germany. 

Winning this international award highlights Bahrain’s success in establishing and operating one of the largest regional exhibition and convention centers in the world, said the CEO of BTEA Nasser Qaedi. 

Noteworthy is that Bahrain International Exhibition Center is the newest in the Middle East with an area of ​​95,000 square meters and includes 95 conference rooms, in addition to a conference center with a total area of ​​4,500 square meters equipped with advanced means of display. It can accommodate up to 4,000 people and also includes small and medium-sized halls for various purposes, 20 meeting rooms, royal and VIP councils, restaurants, and many other facilities.

In addition to strengthening Bahrain’s position as a major tourism hub in the region and the world, the Bahrain International Exhibition Center will host major international events in the country, thus increasing the contribution of the tourism sector to Bahrain’s diversified and ambitious economy.
