Gulf Air, the national airline of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced an extension of the cancellation of its scheduled flights to and from Amman in Jordan, as well as Baghdad and Najaf in Iraq, until June 27.

On Tuesday, the UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) confirmed the activation of an emergency plan for airports following the closure of airspace in several regional countries amid escalating geopolitical tensions.
The authority stated that it has implemented all necessary measures to ensure seamless airport operations across the UAE. This includes close coordination with all operational entities to manage the impacts of recent political developments that have led to airspace closures in certain nations.
This week, multiple countries in the MENA region closed their airspace due to heightened tensions between Iran and Israel, resulting in significant flight cancellations and rerouting that affected local airports in neighboring countries.
