As part of its efforts to promote financial inclusion and digital payments across Oman, Bank Muscat called on its clients to use and activate digital channels to complete their banking transactions, including, without limitation, debit cards, prepaid cards, credit cards, wallet applications, and the Bank Muscat mobile application, in addition to paying with a QR code.
The code scanning option allows merchant partners to accept e-payments from customers quickly and securely, irrespective of their bank or wallet.
Also, the new service payments can be easily initiated from a customer’s Mobile Banking application or Wallet application to the merchant’s account by scanning a QR code.
ِMoreover, merchants can also request money from a customer using the Mobile Payments System registered mobile number / Alias / QR code.
