Bahrain’s nogaholding rebrands as Bapco Energies

Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, announced that Bapco Energies will be the new brand identity for the country’s Oil and Gas Holding Co (nogaholding).

During the unveiling of the new brand, HH Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the now Bapco Energies, referred to it as a “historic day” that marks a new beginning for the future of energy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

He highlighted the importance of energy security and the need to implement a forward-thinking transition roadmap, supported by a diversified mix of energy sources while meeting climate action commitments.

Sheikh Nasser emphasized that Bapco Energies will evolve from a traditional oil and gas holding company into an innovative, progressive, open, and ambitious entity that will help secure the nation’s energy future.

He also noted that embracing renewable energy will not only attract new investments but also foster innovation in financing, encourage collaboration among technology leaders, and create economic opportunities for the country.

Under the new brand Bapco Energies, the existing operating companies, including Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), Bahrain National Gas Company (Banagas), Bahrain National Gas Expansion Company (Tawseah), Bahrain Aviation Fueling Company (Bafco), Tatweer Petroleum, and Bapco Retail Company (Tazweed) will be integrated and rebranded into seven businesses overthe next three years.

The seven businesses will include three new ventures focused on maximizing enterprise value through trading and investing in new technologies and renewables.
