Departments, entities, and institutions that operate on a shift basis or are engaged in public service and management of public facilities are not included in this holiday.

The Dubai Government Human Resources (DGHR) Department has declared that 1st January 2025 (Wednesday) will be an official holiday for all Dubai government entities in celebration of New Year’s Day.

Normal operations will resume on January 2, 2025 (Thursday), WAM reported.

Departments, entities, and institutions that operate in Dubai on a shift basis or are engaged in public service and management of public facilities are not included in this holiday. These organizations have the discretion to set their staff’s working hours according to operational needs, ensuring the continued provision of public services and facilities during the holiday period.

The Department conveyed its warmest wishes to the leadership, government, and citizens of the UAE, as well as to all residents, hoping for a blessed and prosperous New Year for everyone.
