Dubai Chambers, the umbrella organization representing the three chambers of commerce in Dubai, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VFS Global, the world’s largest visa outsourcing and technology service specialist for governments and their diplomatic missions.

Accelerating trade and investment for Dubai businesses

Under the terms of the agreement, VFS Global will provide strategic services to accelerate trade and investment development for Dubai-based companies across its global network. The MoU aims to facilitate the global expansion of Dubai-based businesses by reducing market entry barriers and helping them capitalize on commercial opportunities more quickly.

Supporting Dubai-based companies’ global expansion

Dubai-based companies will benefit from the support of VFS Global’s international network of offices and resources, which offer a range of services such as evaluating potential partners in international markets through due diligence.

Dubai’s Global Partnership Program

This collaboration is part of Dubai International Chamber’s ‘Global Partnership Program’, a new initiative to expedite the chamber’s efforts to attract investments and support the international expansion of local businesses. The program will provide services to streamline processes, simplify operations, reduce costs, and minimize risks for Dubai-based companies as they enter global markets.

Complementing Dubai Global Initiative

The Global Partnership Program also complements Dubai Global Initiative, which focuses on attracting foreign direct investment and assisting Dubai-based companies in expanding to 30 priority markets worldwide.

Dubai Chambers’ commitment to economic growth

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, president and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the organization’s dedication to driving economic growth by facilitating the entry of foreign companies and investors into Dubai, as well as supporting the global expansion of local businesses. He further expressed confidence that the partnership with VFS Global will enhance the competitiveness of Dubai’s private sector and consolidate the emirate’s position as a leading global business hub.

Dubai’s development as a prominent global business center

Additionally, Zubin Karkaria, founder and CEO of VFS Global, expressed the company’s pleasure in collaborating with Dubai Chambers to launch its ‘TradeBridge Global’ trade and investment services for Dubai-based organizations. Moreover, Karkaria highlighted VFS Global’s longstanding commitment to supporting Dubai’s development as a prominent global business center, dating back to the company’s launch of Dubai Visa services with Emirates Airline in 2002 and the relocation of its global headquarters to Dubai in 2013.

Strengthening Dubai’s global reach

Furthermore, the agreement with VFS Global will support the Global Partnership Program across Dubai Chambers’ 31 international representative offices around the world. This growing network is expected to play a key role in achieving the ambitions outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy over the next decade and consolidate Dubai’s status among the top three global cities.
