A massive destination resort in the shape of the moon is being built in Dubai and designed by a Canadian architectural firm, according to media reports.

According to the info published on the resort’s website, the design will be 224 meters tall, built in 48 months, and expected to attract 2.5 million visitors per year.

The Dubai government has not issued official confirmations as of yet about the project mentioned by the Canadian company.

From the outside, the resort’s shape will be similar to the surface of the moon, with an area of 10 acres and a colony aimed at those looking to explore space tourism at a lower cost without actually traveling to space.

The colony will be a replica of the moon’s surface, with visitors able to walk on it in a virtual lunar walk experience.

Moreover, the project will offer 300 private residences for sale, and owners will be members of the resort’s exclusive private club.
