The Dubai Police has unveiled today its Back-to-School Safety Initiative during this morning’s press conference for the 2025–2026 school year. The Back-to-School Initiative ensures a safe and supportive environment for students, parents and educators, setting the stage for a successful academic year ahead.

The announcement comes ahead of the beginning of the school year, with most students returning to classes in the next week.

The Dubai Police said it will be deploying 750 senior officers and police personnel, 250 patrols, 9 drones, luxury and mounted units, and motorcycles to ensure student safety and promote well-being.

“Today’s generation is our greatest asset,” said Brigadier Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mamari, Secretary General of the Hemaya Council, at this morning’s press conference. He highlighted Dubai Police’s Back-to-School Initiative and noted the success of summer programs that engaged hundreds of students.

Concluding the press conference, Captain Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, Head of the Schools Safety Initiative, said “The safety of our children is a shared responsibility,” highlighting the partnership between Dubai Police and families in fostering a safe, inspiring learning environment.

The Dubai police Back-to-School Safety Initiative adds to the UAE’s Accident-Free Day initiative announced earlier this month. The initiative will kick off on August 25, 2025, which also marks the first day of the new school year, and aims to enhance awareness about safety, prevention and traffic protection for all road users.

To participate in the UAE’s Accident-Free Day, residents must take a pledge to adhere to traffic rules on the Ministry of Interior’s website. If residents follow traffic rules and abide by the pledge, 4 traffic points will be deducted from their records automatically.
