Dubai Science Park’s ongoing expansion project will increase the free zone’s storage and logistics capacity by 147 percent. This expansion will address the growing demand for Ggrade-A spaces as the appetite for research and development (R&D) rises globally. The region’s leading scientific free zone announced its expansion on the sidelines of the BIO International Convention in California.

Accelerating regional R&D innovation

The new 200,000-square-foot storage and logistics spaces will allow the destination’s growing base of more than 500 customers to accelerate regional R&D innovation. Among the most notable leaders in Dubai Science Park include AstraZeneca, Pfizer, BeiGene and GE Healthcare.

“Enabling the regional scientific industry to reach its full potential requires addressing, and often pre-empting, the needs of the community of researchers and thinkers that are redefining our collective future,” said Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, senior vice president of Dubai Science Park at TECOM Group PJSC.

As local R&D and innovation pick up the pace, demand for destinations like Dubai Science Park will likely grow. This expansion also falls in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’ and the Dubai Research and Development Program. Moreover, it significantly contributes to the We The UAE 2031 strategies.
