Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), in collaboration with Tim Aerospace, broke ground on their new hangar at Dubai South. This new facility promises to revolutionize aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Attended by key industry figures, the event marks a significant milestone in Dubai’s journey towards becoming a global aviation powerhouse.

Setting new standards

The partnership between MBRAH and Tim Aerospace heralds the construction of one of the region’s largest MRO hangars. The hangars will be able to accommodate up to five wide-body aircraft of any type, except the A380.

The groundbreaking ceremony took place at MBRAH in Dubai South in the presence of Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, and Timor Shah Shahab, Founder and CEO of Tim Aerospace.

As a key contributor to economic development, the aviation sector holds immense potential for Dubai. Moreover, the growing demand for MRO services is an opportunity for growth in Dubai. Therefore, the new hangar at MBRAH, scheduled to be completed by 2025, will meet this demand. It will offer premium and cost-efficient solutions for both wide-body and narrow-body commercial passenger and cargo aircraft.
