Dubai has emerged as the leading city in the Global Power City Index 2023 for its exceptional standards in cleanliness, work flexibility, low unemployment rates, and favorable corporate tax environment.

Dubai secured the eighth position in the overall rankings, with London leading the list followed by New York, Tokyo, Paris, Singapore, Amsterdam, and Seoul.

Additionally, Dubai set a regional precedent by becoming the first city in the Middle East to secure a spot among the top 10 in the index.

“There is no limit to our ambitions and with the unwavering dedication of our nation’s people, we will continue to strengthen Dubai’s position as a model for the cities of the future, achieving milestones that set the global standard,” Sheikh Hamdan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Dubai also claimed the top spot worldwide in terms of the number of international residents within the city, as well as securing second place for its abundance of luxury hotel accommodations.

Since its inception in 2008, the annual index has consistently acknowledged Dubai as a highly appealing global hub for businesses, tourists, and investment. This year was no exception, as Dubai once again received recognition for its exceptional allure.

Furthermore, Dubai maintained its impressive fourth position in the realm of cultural interaction, surpassing renowned cities such as Tokyo, Istanbul, Madrid, Moscow, and Singapore in this particular aspect.
