The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will organize the 27th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from September 30 to October 2, 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The event, WAM reported, will be held under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy.

WETEX, a significant global sustainability event, stands as the largest in the region across the energy, water, green development, sustainability, and related sectors, making it one of the largest specialized exhibitions of its kind in the world.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and founder and chairman of WETEX, emphasized that the unwavering support of the wise leadership has, for over a quarter of a century since the inception of WETEX, enabled it to evolve into a global pioneering event aimed at accelerating the energy transition and achieving net-zero goals.

“WETEX promotes the UAE’s pioneering position in the Middle East and North Africa in adopting renewable energy technologies to meet energy demand. The event also supports the UAE’s Net Zero 2050 Strategy and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, strengthening Dubai’s position as a global hub for the green economy and sustainable development.”

Platform for global collaboration

Every year, the WETEX exhibition convenes thousands of companies from both the government and private sectors worldwide, alongside numerous local and international government representatives, decision-makers, professionals, researchers, experts, and specialists. This diverse gathering facilitates the exchange of experiences and knowledge regarding the latest technologies and innovations in global trends that contribute to a more sustainable, prosperous, and safe future for all, as stated by Al Tayer.

Visitor and exhibitor statistics

In the previous year, WETEX attracted 50,598 visitors from across the globe and featured participation from 2,800 exhibitors representing 65 countries. The exhibition showcased 21 international pavilions, where companies highlighted their latest advancements in energy, water, clean and renewable energy, digital transformation, cybersecurity, networks and information system security, smart and sustainable cities, smart grids, green mobility, and health and safety both at home and in the workplace, among other key sectors.
