The inaugural WHX Tech 2025, a leading digital health event organized by Informa Markets, is set to unfold at the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 8–10. In partnership with the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), this event will spotlight artificial intelligence, women-led innovation, and practical healthcare solutions aimed at redefining the industry’s future.
Under the auspices of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), Dubai Health, Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Emirates Health Services (EHS), and NABIDH, WHX Tech is expected to unite over 200 speakers, 300 brands, and 5,000 healthcare leaders from more than 30 countries to ignite the collaborations and policy changes essential for translating innovation from concept to reality.
Central to WHX Tech is the World X stage, an energetic platform that showcases women leaders, advancements in generative AI, and case studies of technologies that are already transforming care. Hospital systems are integrating AI to improve safety and optimize workflows, while startups are rethinking patient engagement; this stage is designed to foster actionable change beyond mere theory.
Women leading the charge in digital health
Tatyana Kanzaveli, founder & CEO of Open Health Network, a company pioneering advancements in healthcare through generative AI and recognized by the White House, Forbes, and the United Nations, will present at World X. She will delve into the role of Generative AI in healthcare and the obstacles that hinder its evolution beyond conversational chatbots. The session will cover its growing influence on drug discovery, clinical decision-making, and personalized care delivery across the healthcare value chain.
“Rather than come in to patch a broken system, AI is here to reprogram it,” Kanzaveli stated. “At WHX Tech, I will show how we are breaking barriers with platforms such as TrialSphere for AI-powered clinical trials and TAMI, our generative AI solution for scalable behavioral health. WHX Tech is where the pitching of ideas stops, and we finally start rewriting the future of healthcare.”
The event’s emphasis on women in digital health is underscored by prominent sessions featuring Dr. Rashmi Rao, chief product officer at Philips, discussing the unwritten rules of health innovation and investment, and Meghan Huffman, vice president of Digital Health at Novant Health, who will engage in conversations about adoption, real-world applications of digital health technology, and the future of the sector. Huffman, recognized as one of the most influential women in healthcare, will also participate in a panel titled “Envisioning Healthcare in 2050,” which will explore AI integration, patient-centric models, and the influence of technology on health systems.
“Getting the innovative ideas and technology in place is often the easy part,” Huffman remarked. “The real work is making digital health usable, trusted, and embedded in the fabric of care delivery. WHX Tech offers a rare opportunity to connect with global leaders who are turning vision into operational reality.”
AI and interoperability at the forefront
With generative AI and interoperability taking center stage, WHX Tech 2025 is strategically positioned to cultivate the public-private partnerships that are crucial for sustainable adoption. Live hospital simulations, the $50,000 WHX Tech Xcelerate Startup Competition, and curated investor matchmaking sessions will expedite the process of turning concepts into implementations.
“WHX Tech is designed to inspire action,” said Peter Hall, president – Middle East, India, Türkiye & Africa, Informa Markets. “From our government partnerships to the global speaker lineup, every aspect is tailored toward solutions that enhance care today and in the future. As we approach the event’s September launch, WHX Tech promises to be a launchpad for a new era in healthcare, driven by AI, equity, and collaboration, solidifying Dubai’s status as a global innovation hub.”
WHX Tech further represents the latest evolution in Informa Markets’ 50-year healthcare legacy in the region, pushing the industry’s delivery needle beyond the well-established Arab Health, now rebranded as WHX Dubai.
“Arab Health was the Middle East’s premier healthcare platform for decades,” Hall continued. “WHX Tech signifies the next phase – a truly global convergence of minds where healthcare leaders and technologists come together to drive transformation. With Dubai as the bridge between East and West, we are delivering solutions to rethink care delivery, management, and patient experience on a grand scale.”

Overcoming challenges in AI adoption
Recent statistics from Deloitte reveal that 80 percent of hospitals currently deploy AI in various capacities to enhance patient care and streamline operations, including AI-assisted diagnostic imaging, virtual patient intake, intelligent patient monitoring, and predictive analytics to foresee patient risks and operational needs, according to Deloitte’s Health Care Outlook. This further indicates a significant move beyond pilot phases towards mainstream operational integration of AI and digital technologies. Despite challenges such as cyber-security concerns, data privacy, and a shortage of qualified IT healthcare professionals, investments in IT consulting, integration, and cybersecurity solutions are on the rise, supporting the deeper embedding of these technologies.
Moreover, the role of AI in facilitating predictive analytics is enabling hospitals to anticipate patient deterioration, post-discharge readmission risks, and align staffing efficiently, thereby enhancing both clinical outcomes and administrative effectiveness. Global consulting firms like Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Bain & Company emphasize that 2025 will be pivotal for AI-driven transformation in healthcare, with innovations extending into wearable health devices, remote monitoring, femtech, and digital platforms empowering patients with personalized health management tools. The Future Health Index reports a growing trust in healthcare AI among patients and professionals, though it underscores the need for transparent, ethical AI governance frameworks.
WHX Tech’s focus on generative AI and interoperability aligns perfectly with these global trends, underscoring Dubai’s role as a nexus for health innovation bridging East and West. The event’s emphasis on actionable solutions and the inclusion of women leaders accentuate efforts to build equitable, patient-centered, and technologically advanced healthcare ecosystems worldwide. The collaborations and insights fostered at WHX Tech 2025 promise to catalyze the sustainable adoption of these transformative technologies at scale.
