In the first seven months of 2024, Dubai saw a total of 10.62 million tourists, representing an 8 percent rise from the same timeframe last year, when the city welcomed 9.83 million international visitors. The tourism performance report from the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai indicates a steady flow of tourists throughout the year. Monthly statistics show that Dubai attracted 1.77 million visitors in January, 1.9 million in February, 1.51 million in March, 1.5 million in April, 1.44 million in May, 1.19 million in June, and 1.31 million in July.

Western European nations were the top source of tourists to Dubai, contributing approximately 2.086 million visitors, which makes up 20 percent of the overall total. South Asia followed closely with 1.848 million tourists, accounting for 17 percent of all visitors. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries ranked third, sending 1.537 million tourists, or 14 percent of the total. Likewise, the Commonwealth of Independent States and Eastern Europe contributed around 14 percent as well, totaling 1.505 million visitors.
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region was the fifth-largest source of tourists, representing 12 percent of the total with 1.232 million visitors. Finally, countries from Northeast and Southeast Asia accounted for 10 percent, or roughly 1.028 million tourists. These figures underscore Dubai’s enduring status as a prominent international tourist destination and reflect its effective strategies for attracting visitors from various global regions.
