Emirates has launched its new lounge at London Stansted Airport. With an investment exceeding GBP4 million ($5.33 million), the spacious 900-square-metre facility accommodates up to 125 guests, including First and Business Class travelers and Emirates Skywards members.

This new lounge, according to Dubai Media office, marks Emirates’ sixth dedicated lounge in the U.K., joining its top-tier facilities at London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Glasgow, and Manchester. All London airports served by Emirates now offer premium on-ground experiences, allowing customers to relax and enjoy elevated dining before their flights.

Emirates is among the few airlines that have prioritized on-ground experiences, boasting a global network of 40 dedicated lounges and complimentary chauffeur services for premium travelers.

Key gateway for customers

Mohammed Mattar, divisional senior vice president of Airport Services at Emirates, emphasized that the airline has been serving London Stansted since 2018, highlighting the airport’s significance as a key gateway for customers in the southern region of the U.K. He noted that the new lounge reflects Emirates’ commitment to enhancing the customer experience both in the air and on the ground. Mattar described the lounge’s opening as a major milestone, as it expands their dedicated lounge facilities to six airports in the U.K., reinforcing their dedication to this important market. He expressed anticipation for elevating the premium travel experience and providing customers the opportunity to relax and enjoy Emirates’ renowned hospitality.

Luxurious lounge experience

Gareth Powell, managing director at Stansted Airport, remarked that the opening of Emirates’ new world-class lounge is a significant development for both London Stansted and passengers traveling with Emirates to Dubai and beyond. He noted that this addition further underscores the airline’s commitment to the airport and the surrounding region. Powell highlighted that the lounge offers a luxurious and comfortable experience for First and Business Class customers, featuring excellent views over the airport and direct boarding access to the aircraft. He also pointed out the popularity of the 14 weekly flights between London Stansted and Dubai, which have attracted travelers not only to the Middle East but also to destinations worldwide, thanks to Emirates’ extensive global route network.

Elevating premium travel

Situated in Satellite 1, near the departure gates, the lounge features new furnishings and dedicated areas for dining and relaxation. Guests will enjoy a superb selection of food and beverages, complimentary Wi-Fi, and refreshing shower facilities.

The Emirates lounge provides convenient boarding access, with just a 2–3-minute walk to the aircraft.

Showcasing British excellence

Emirates has collaborated with Sussex-based Full Circles Farms to introduce a “farm to table” concept in its lounge, offering seasonal menus featuring fresh, organic vegetables and exquisite local dishes. Guests can also indulge in premium spirits, excellent wines, and a variety of Moet & Chandon champagnes.
