When is Eid al-Adha 2025?
According to legislation passed by theĀ UAE Cabinet, the public and private sectors will observe Arafat Day on Dhu al-Hijjah 9 and Eid al-Adha 2025 from Dhu al-Hijjah 10 to 12, culminating in a total of 4 days off.
With the confirmation of a moon sighting earlier this week, Wednesday, May 28, will mark the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah and Eid al-Adha 2025 in the UAE will fall on Friday, June 6, while Arafat Day will take place a day ahead, on June 5.
Therefore, UAE residents will get a 4-day holiday, from Thursday, June 5, until Sunday, June 8, for both the public and private sectors.
Dubai to light up with live events, concerts and shows
Dubaiās Eid al-Adha 2025 celebrations promise a line-up of entertainment for all ages and interests. A top highlight of this season is a showstopping performance by legendary Saudi singer Mohamed Abdo on June 7. Families can enjoy a theatrical experience from June 6 to 8 as the Arabic playĀ The Greatest WishĀ brings lively characters and captivating scenes to the stage at Zabeel Theatre, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.
Comedy lovers are also in for a double treat on June 7 as French comedian Roman Frayssinet heads to the Emirates Theatre while Indian comic sensation Shraddha Jain makes her Dubai debut at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School.Ā For a night of suspense, the live-action murder mystery, Dinner With A Clue returns aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2 on June 7.
Music lovers can look forward to the Candlelight ConcertĀ on June 7, featuring classical renditions of timeless works by Vivaldi, as well as modern tributes to Coldplay, at Mina AāSalam Hotel in Madinat Jumeirah.
Meanwhile, theatre-goers can enjoy a comedic twist on a classic tale with One Thousand Nights and A Wedding, performed on June 7 and 8 at Sheikh Rashid Hall, Dubai World Trade Center.
Rounding off the line-up, football fans can immerse themselves in the extraordinary world of Lionel Messi with nine interactive zones spanning 2,500 square metres at The Messi Experience, now open at Dubai Festival City Mall until February 28, 2026.

Dubaiās malls are transforming into vibrant hubs of Eid al-Adha 2025 celebrations with a wide array of immersive experiences, live entertainment and family-friendly activities. At Mercato Mall, families can look forward to activities from June 6 to 9 including aĀ Fun Eid Explosion main show,Ā cotton candy performances,Ā face painting,Ā craft and painting workshopsĀ andĀ roaming entertainers.
In City Walk, visitors can escape the summer heat and immerse themselves in dining experiences,Ā live entertainmentĀ and engagingĀ family activities fromĀ June 6 to 9. Meanwhile, Ibn Battuta Mall will host VERSUS 2.0, a next-generation gaming activation at theĀ Egypt mini court from June 6 to 15.
In addition, Dubai Festival City MallĀ sets the stage for a brand-newĀ IMAGINE Show, featuring breathtakingĀ projection mapping performances, in addition to traditional cultural shows on theĀ first two days of Eid al-Adha.
