Emirates General Petroleum Corporation (Emarat) recently announced a partnership with Al Maryah Community Bank. The landmark agreement marks the first-ever granting of naming rights for fuel stations regionally and globally, solidifying Emarat’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric strategies. Moreover, it marks the inaugural strategic partnership between Emarat and its partners within Project Landmark.
Through Project Landmark, companies and brands can secure naming rights for Emarat’s service stations. It also allows them to integrate their business models within these service stations.
Elevating customer experiences
Eng. Ali Khalifa Al Shamsi, director-general of Emarat, expressed pride in the strategic partnership with Al Maryah Community Bank. He also emphasized its significance in bolstering the business community’s confidence in Emarat’s strategic approach. Al Shamsi also highlighted the positive economic impact Project Landmark holds and the unique opportunities it offers. “These opportunities empower companies and relevant stakeholders to prioritize customers as the focal point of their business and activities,” he added.
For his part, Mohammed Wassim Khayata, CEO of Al Maryah Community Bank, expressed pride in the inaugural strategic partnership with Emarat under Project Landmark. Moreover, he lauded the bank’s achievement in becoming the first entity globally to secure naming rights for a fuel station.
“This initiative stems from innovative strategies to enhance our bank’s visibility and elevate customer experiences across fuel stations and affiliated stores,” he added.

Innovative payment solutions
As part of this collaboration, Emarat stations have introduced Al Maryah Community Bank’s Mbank Wallet digital application. The Mbank Wallet will allow customers to execute safe, seamless, and fast payment transactions. Customers can leverage the Mbank Wallet application to conduct payment transactions effortlessly. They can scan QR codes at checkout counters using their mobile phones to complete transactions. This seamless integration underscores the commitment of both entities to embrace technological advancements for the benefit of their customers.
