Emirates has been awarded the title of the 4th best airline in the world and the 2nd best airline in the Middle East at the 2025 World Airline Awards, held by the International Skytrax Organization. The awards were announced in a gala ceremony held at the Paris Air Show in the presence of over 500 guests.
Emirates stood out this year, winning multiple awards in categories like World’s Best Inflight Entertainment, World’s Most Family Friendly Airlines 2025, and World’s Best First Class Airlines.
Emirates leads globally in key metrics
Qatar Airways was named the World’s Best Airline for the ninth time this year. The five-time winner of the prestigious Airline of the Year award, Singapore Airlines, ranks second in the world for 2025, with Cathay Pacific Airways moving up to third place. Emirates ranked fourth, with ANA All Nippon Airways in fifth position, out of more than 325 airlines included in the survey results.
In addition to being named among the best airlines in the world, Emirates was named the 3rd most family-friendly airline in the world, with Lufthansa coming in first and British Airways taking second place.
Emirates also has the second-best airline inflight entertainment this year, with Cathay Pacific Airways taking first place and Qatar Airways coming in third.
The airline was also recognized for having the second-best first class in the world, ahead of Air France and following Singapore Airlines. Finally, Emirates won the third-best premium economy class Airlines award this year, following Virgin Atlantic and Japan Airlines.

The awards also included the “Best Airlines in the Middle East 2025” category with Qatar Airways coming in first, followed by Emirates, Saudia, Etihad Airways, Gulf Air, Oman Air, flynas, flydubai, flyadeal and Air Arabia.
