Emirates, in collaboration with the Museum of the Future, is set to launch the inaugural Aviation Future Week, scheduled for October 15-17, 2024, in Dubai.

According to a statement, this event will bring together UAE ministers, senior government officials, and industry leaders from the realms of aviation, aerospace, airfreight, Maintenance, Overhaul & Repair (MRO), and logistics. Attendees will engage in insightful discussions and explore the evolving passenger journey, future traffic demands, airfreight logistics, and the latest advancements in AI and XR technology.

Vision for the future of aviation

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline & Group, expressed that it is appropriate for Dubai to serve as the venue for global leaders and decision-makers in aviation and aerospace to engage in important discussions and foster collaborations aimed at redefining the industry’s future during Aviation Future Week. He further highlighted that Dubai’s strategic focus on technology and innovation, along with its embrace of the digital revolution, provides an ideal environment for pioneering new approaches. This commitment, he noted, could lead to more efficient and sustainable operations while reshaping the passenger journey as the industry moves forward.

Dynamic agenda and workshops

Aviation Future Week will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops spanning three days. The first day will kick off with a dynamic agenda led by industry experts focusing on air travel demand and airport infrastructure. Discussions will revolve around how airports, airlines, aerospace manufacturers, and other stakeholders can enhance the passenger experience through innovative technology.

Focus on airfreight and MRO development

Furthermore, the second day will concentrate on advancements in airfreight and logistics, transitioning into a focus on MRO developments in the latter half. The final day will explore the transformative potential of Web3, AI, and XR solutions to improve workflow efficiencies and service delivery.
