Etihad Cargo will offer additional belly-hold cargo capacity to popular seasonal destinations in Europe including Spain, Greece and France, and a new route to Türkiye

Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, has announced that it will provide greater belly-hold cargo capacity for its customers and partners across its global network starting July 2024. The carrier’s summer schedule introduces 23 passenger flights to new destinations and 77 more passenger flights per week to existing routes, bringing the total number of new weekly passenger flights to 100.

Europe seasonal destinations

Etihad Cargo will offer additional belly-hold cargo capacity to popular seasonal destinations in Europe including Spain, Greece and France, and the new route to Türkiye. Starting July 2, customers can book cargo capacity on three weekly passenger flights to Malaga, Spain, and two flights per week to Nice, France.

The carrier has also raised the number of flights to Athens to 14 per week. In addition, it has launched two flights to Greece’s capital which will operate via Myknos and two flights which will operate via Santorini.

The airline has also launched a new route to Antalya with three weekly flights and raised the number of weekly flights to Istanbul from 10 to 14, starting July 22.

Etihad Cargo’s customers will also benefit from greater cargo capacity to Dublin, with three more flights starting July 23, bringing the total number of flights to Ireland’s capital to ten per week.

Middle East destinations

Etihad Cargo’s partners and customers will have access to greater belly-hold cargo capacity in the Middle East.

The carrier currently operates three passenger flights to Al-Qassim in Saudi Arabia, a new destination for the carrier. Moreover, it will increase frequencies to Middle Eastern destinations by 32 flights per week.

Therefore, it will operate seven additional flights to Amman, bringing the total to 14 per week, and seven more flights to Kuwait, bringing the total to 28 per week. In addition, it will operate two new flights to Bahrain, Beirut and Muscat, and five additional flights to Doha. By mid-July, flights to Cairo will also increase to 28 per week.

Asia network expands

Etihad Cargo’s India network will grow to four weekly flights to the new destination, Jaipur. Following the launch of Thiruvananthapuram to the carrier’s 2023 winter schedule, weekly flights will increase from seven to 10 per week in response to the rising demand.

In addition, two new flights to Ahmedabad will bring the weekly total to 17, three new flights to Bengaluru will bring the weekly total to 17, and flights to Kolkata will increase to eight per week.

Reiterating its commitment to the Asian market, the carrier will also launch a new route with four weekly flights to Bali. In addition, it will raise belly hold capacity with an extra weekly flight to Bangkok, bringing the total to 18. In addition, the airline will operate 11 additional flights to Colombo, bringing the total to 27, three additional flights to Karachi, bringing the total to 17, and four additional flights to Seoul, bringing the total to 11.
