According to Business Euromoney magazine, Ahli United Bank (AUB) was named the Best Bank in Bahrain for 2022. The announcement was made during the 2022 Euromoney Awards for Excellence in Dubai.
The bank received this award due to its strong financial results and outstanding performance compared to its market peers. The bank’s ability to adapt to changing market conditions and meet customer needs positively and effectively during and after the pandemic were also important factors in receiving the award.
The Euromoney Awards have a rich history spanning more than five decades and are considered among the most prestigious in the banking services industry. These awards are also regarded as a reliable standard of excellence in business and finance.
Meshal Abdulaziz Alothman, Chairman of AUB, commented on the win, saying, “The figures achieved demonstrate the strength and durability of our multi-market business model, as well as the success of our comprehensive transformation strategy.”
“We were successful by focusing on the integrity of our financial position and risk management, as well as keeping costs under control by remaining flexible in the face of recent market fluctuations,” he added.
This award is the most recent in a long line of honors received by the bank from various institutions and magazines specializing in the world of banking services. Global Finance awarded the best bank in Bahrain 2022; Bank of the Year Award – Bahrain 2021, granted by The Banker; Best bank in Trade Finance Services 2022 by Global Finance. AUB was also named the best private bank in Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, and the UAE by business magazine MEED.
