Dubai-based airline flydubai is gearing up for a busy summer travel season, launching seasonal operations to 11 popular holiday destinations starting June 4. Among the highlights are two new additions to the network: Al Alamein (Egypt) and Antalya (Türkiye), giving travellers more choices to explore the Mediterranean and North African coasts.

Daily flights to Antalya International Airport (AYT) will begin on June 5, while services to Al Alamein International Airport (DBB) on Egypt’s sought-after North Coast will start from June 21. All flights will operate from Terminal 2 at Dubai International (DXB).

The expanded seasonal schedule gives passengers from Dubai and beyond greater access to scenic summer spots such as the Turkish Riviera and Egypt’s Al Sahel region, known for its vibrant resorts and beaches.

In addition to the new routes, flydubai will resume summer services to several favourite destinations including Batumi, Bodrum, Corfu, Dubrovnik, Mykonos, Olbia, Santorini, Tivat, and Trabzon — offering a wide variety of leisure getaways across Europe and the Middle East.

To accommodate high demand during Eid Al Adha and the summer holidays, flydubai will roll out its seasonal schedule earlier than usual, with operations beginning in early June. These routes will be served by the airline’s modern fleet, which includes the newly retrofitted aircraft and the latest Boeing 737 MAX 8, introduced in April 2025.

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, said: “We have seen growth in demand for travel to popular seasonal summer destinations year-on-year. The introduction of more destinations to our summer operations reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our customers by providing greater convenience, enhanced accessibility and more options for travel.”

“We are confident that Al Alamein and Antalya will be popular choices for holiday seekers from Dubai and across the flydubai network. The 11 seasonal summer routes operating from June to September complement our existing popular established routes such as Georgia, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Thailand,” he added.

Flydubai continues to record growth in demand for its Business Class offering and has recorded a 20 percent growth in Business Class passengers in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, according to Obaidalla.

He said the airline is expected to see continued growth in Business Class numbers over the summer, underscoring the attractiveness of its offering, coupled with the introduction of its new Business Class check-in area and flydubai Business Class Lounge at Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB).

With the launch of flights to Antalya, flydubai expands its footprint in Türkiye to six destinations, joining its existing routes to Ankara (ESB), Bodrum (BJV), Istanbul Airport (IST), Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), and Trabzon (TZX).
