The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) revealed the ‘Future Proofing Dubai’s Workforce’ project under the theme Talent 2033, in a bid to fortify Dubai’s position as a global talent hub and propel its economic growth. The initiative launched amidst a gathering of esteemed representatives from federal authorities, Dubai government bodies, and leading private sector organizations. It signifies a concerted effort to revolutionize workforce planning and empower talent across diverse sectors.

Strategic objectives

At the core of the ‘Future Proofing Dubai’s Workforce’ project lies an approach that aims to achieve multiple ambitious objectives. The primary focus of the project is to establish Dubai as a global and competitive hub that fosters talent empowerment. Moreover, it seeks to facilitate strategic workforce planning across both the government and private sectors.

The ‘Future Proofing Dubai’s Workforce’ project also aims to expedite the integration of 65,000 Emiratis into the private sector.

Concurrently, the initiative seeks to harness the power of digitization and automation to enhance labor market forecasts, boost productivity, and streamline operations across sectors. Lastly, the project will focus on devising capacity-building programs that tailor to the future workforce.

Fostering collaboration

The ‘Future Proofing Dubai’s Workforce’ project launch event witnessed a convergence of stakeholders from various sectors including travel, logistics, tourism, information and communications technology (ICT), real estate, finance, healthcare, education, and manufacturing.
