Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with TruKKer, a digital freight platform, has launched ‘Logisty,’ a Digital Logistics Platform developed in conjunction with the private sector. This platform is designed to deliver commercial transport services to clients and businesses, oversee logistics and commercial vehicle fleets, and provide on-demand booking and tracking functionalities.

The introduction of this platform marks a significant step in transforming the logistics industry and boosting Dubai’s status as a premier hub for logistics services throughout the region. By linking customers with commercial transport providers, Logisty reimagines freight transportation in Dubai, enhancing user experience through services that are efficient, straightforward, and dependable.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, director-general and chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, remarked that the launch of the ‘Logisty’ platform embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, aimed at elevating Dubai’s global competitiveness as a leading center for finance, business, and economy. This initiative also backs the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which seeks to position Dubai among the top three economic cities worldwide.

This effort aligns with the Dubai Commercial Road Transport & Logistics Strategy 2030, along with its comprehensive roadmap and projects designed to double the direct contribution of the commercial road transport logistics sector to the emirate’s economy, targeting AED16.8 billion. Additionally, the strategy aims to boost technology adoption in the sector’s infrastructure by 75 percent and enhance operational efficiency by 10 percent.

Enhancing operational efficiency

Al Tayer added that the launch of the ‘Logisty’ platform underscores RTA’s dedication to providing innovative, high-quality solutions that cater to the needs of residents. It also fosters partnerships with the private sector by collaborating with TruKKer to utilize advanced technologies in logistics services. These initiatives aim to deliver businesses and customers transparent, secure, and efficient solutions.

The platform plays a crucial role in improving the operational efficiency of the logistics sector by integrating advanced technologies into its operations, activities, and services. Dubai boasts over 10,000 commercial transport companies, with the sector experiencing a compound annual growth rate of 34 percent over the past five years.

Advanced technology features

Logisty incorporates state-of-the-art technological features such as an AI-powered CBM Calculator, enabling users to estimate shipment volumes simply by uploading photos or videos. The platform will offer innovative solutions for freight transportation and logistics services, ensuring it remains in line with the latest industry advancements.
