The “Make it in the Emirates” forum succeeded in earning AED20 billion ($5.4 billion) of new industrial investments for 2024. UAE’s Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology through Assistant Undersecretary Osama Amir Fadl disclosed to WAM (Emirates News Agency) at IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 that a total of AED12.7 billion ($3.4 billion) in financing solutions had been allocated to the country’s industrial sector by the end of 2024. SMEs received 68 percent of the total financing allocated by the partnership between Emirates Development Bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank and Mashreq Bank.
Fadl explained that technology-driven transformation of the industrial sector receives AED2.33 billion from a total funding pool of AED2.33 billion while sharing that AED12.7 billion will be allocated to help industrial businesses by 2024. The ministry showed it has discovered more than 2,000 national procurement options worth exceeding AED143 billion while projecting the list to expand within “Make it in the Emirates 2025” timeframe.
Fourth edition of Make it in the Emirates Forum to take place in May 2025
The fourth edition of the Make it in the Emirates Forum will take place in partnership with the ADNEC Group in Abu Dhabi from May 19 to 22, 2025.
The forum aims to significantly enhance the UAE’s industrial sector, which currently contributes AED205 billion ($55.8 billion) to the national GDP by end of 2023.
At the upcoming edition several agreements will be announced to support UAE-based industrial companies while expanding on the existing AED143 billion worth of 2,000 products for local manufacturing which was revealed in past editions.
The former editions of this event resulted in multiple new incentives for industrial companies through Emirates Development Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Mashreq Bank providing AED16 billion financing while allocating AED3.1 billion for technological solutions. The exhibition space addition in 2025 will exceed 50,000 square meters while visitor numbers will surpass 20,000 people despite the 6,100 attendees in 2024.
