The Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE), the Dubai government’s housing authority, and leading developer Wasl Group have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide sustainable housing projects that aim to enhance the quality of life and community well-being of UAE nationals.
The deal was signed at Wasl’s headquarters on Sheikh Zayed Road, with Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim, CEO of Wasl Group, and Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment in attendance.
Building sustainable projects
The agreement aims to explore opportunities for implementing sustainable housing projects on land from the housing authority, specifically focusing on innovative programs that meet UAE nationals’ needs and enhance community welfare.
The agreement also emphasizes strengthening collaboration between the two organizations through Wasl Group’s umbrella companies, using the developer’s wide resources and capabilities in the housing sector.
Under the agreement, Wasl Group will have priority access to future investment opportunities related to housing, reflecting both organizations’ responsibility in developing innovative and sustainable solutions that support the Dubai Urban Plan 2040.

Sharing expertise
The agreement will also focus on knowledge and expertise exchange between the two entities, supporting the development of housing policies and adopting innovative technologies to enhance the quality of future housing services.
This also includes provisions for Wasl Group to participate in specialized events and exhibitions organized by MBRHE.

Joint task forces will be formed by both MBRHE and Wasl Gorup to develop detailed execution plans, ensuring the strategic objectives are met effectively and efficiently while maintaining continuous coordination to achieve sustainable housing development, the report added.
