The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has signed an agreement with NeoNautica to develop and operate the UAE Blue Pass platform. This groundbreaking initiative aims to revolutionize the maritime sector by offering quality packages of privileges and facilities. Therefore, it will enhance competitiveness, attract international investors, and foster innovation.

Hessa Al Malek, advisor to the minister for maritime transport and affairs at the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, and Capt. Rami Al Breiki, CEO of NeoNautica, signed the agreement in the presence of officials from both sides.

Advancing maritime competitiveness

The partnership will elevate the national maritime sector’s competitiveness on the global stage. Hence, the UAE Blue Pass platform will provide added value to maritime companies operating in the UAE and commercial ships. Moreover, it will position the country as a preferred destination for maritime activities and investments.

For her part, Al Malek stated: “The project will be a major supporter in making the UAE the global hub for the new knowledge and data-based economy in the next 10 years.” Al Malek added that the platform will incorporate advanced features alongside comprehensive industry insights. Therefore, it will provide seamless and effective solutions for maritime professionals in the UAE. Moreover, the UAE Blue Pass platform will connect professionals, ship owners, and maritime service providers.

Expanding UAE Blue Pass initiative

Al Malek stated that the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure aims to expand the UAE Blue Pass platform beyond maritime to encompass various modes of transportation. This strategic expansion aligns with the UAE’s vision to become a global logistical hub. Hence, the UAE aims to offer integrated solutions for international trade and reinforcing its leadership in the logistics industry.

For his part, Capt. Al Breiki emphasized NeoNautica’s commitment to creating a seamless and integrated platform that fosters growth and prosperity for the maritime sector.
