stc Group, the first digital enabler in the region, has signed an agreement with GSMA, the global organization specialized in standardizing the communications environment, to hold the activities of the upcoming mobile 360 ​​global conference in Riyadh.

stc Group CEO Eng. Olayan bin Mohammed Alwetaid, and the General Director of GSMA Mats Granryd, signed the agreement on the sidelines of the group’s participation in the MWC22 World Mobile Conference in Barcelona.

The GSMA Mobile 360 ​​conference discusses the most important telecom industry issues and challenges facing the sector, in order to enhance regional participation and discuss the impact of mobile technology globally.

“We are pleased to sign the agreement with GSMA, a global leader in the ICT industry, to host the Mobile 360 ​​Conference that addresses the most pressing issues and challenges facing the world, as we become truly digital,” Al-Wateed said.

He added: “The presence and participation of international experts in the conference hosted for the first time by Riyadh will enable the ICT sector in the Kingdom to contribute effectively to these important digital discussions. This conference will also weigh in on the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and stc’s strategy to move forward towards a bright digital future.”

The conference brings together 70% major mobile network operators and developers of technical infrastructure services to discuss the most important issues related to the mobile phone industries and broader technologies, using panel discussions and seminars.

This includes having the public and private sectors address key issues that can take advantage of available opportunities to build a global digital economy.
