The benefits of using the nol card in Dubai just got bigger. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the new ‘nol Travel’ discount card initiative, which provides users with various benefits related to public transport and taxi fare payments as well as parking fees in the emirate.
Users will also be able to avail of 100 exclusive promotional offers, such as discounts at hotels, restaurants, retail stores, entertainment venues, adventure activities, among others.
The new ‘nol Travel’ discount card, in collaboration with MDX Solutions Middle East, will be available at multiple outlets such as Zoom, Al Ansari Exchange, Euro Car at the airport, and Rayna Tours offices.
Mohammed Yousef Al Mudharreb, CEO of the Corporate Technology Support Services Sector at RTA, said the ‘nol Travel’ card is an incentive package for various public transport users, including residents, tourists, and visitors to the UAE, especially Dubai. “The number of visitors in 2023 exceeded 20 million worldwide,” he added.
“The ‘nol Travel’ card offers users integrated public transport services and access to tourist facilities through a single card. The nol brand is a strong payment method in Dubai, with more than five million users and three million daily transactions,” he commented.
He explained that the new ‘nol Travel’ card complements the existing nol card’s benefits. “These benefits include payment for public transport and taxi fares, parking fees, and purchases at retail outlets. Buyers of the ‘nol Travel’ card will receive a regular nol card, which is ideal for residents, visitors, and tourists. This card enables them to ride the Dubai metro, tram, public buses, and marine transport.”
What is nol Travel?
The nol Travel package is a customized nol card that includes a range of exciting offers, benefits and discounts for tourists and residents in Dubai along with the regular features of nol cards, which include payments for public transport, taxis, monorail and marine transport. With nol Travel package, you can enjoy the offers from several categories like cinema tickets, exclusive offers at restaurants, access to various entertainment venues, and discounts at select shops and outlets across the UAE. The nol cards comes with the package and has a balance of AED19 reloadable at all nol card channels.
What are the discounts?
The discounts can vary, depending on the merchant, and can reach up to 50 percent. Total discounts can amount to over AED17,000.
Is there an activation process?
The nol card that comes with the package is pre-activated and can be used immediately for payments.
What is the price of the package?
The price of the nol travel package is AED200 and includes a specially designed silver nol card with an AED19 balance.
What is the validity of the package?
The silver nol card is valid for five years, and several offers and discounts valid for one year from the date of activating the account.
Can you renew the package?
Yes, the package can be renewed for another year after it expires as long as the nol card is valid. Each renewal of the package will cost AED150.
