New Maserati Grecale: “The Everyday Exceptional”

The Trident brand reveals its brand-new Luxury SUV at Modena
Maserati’s new compact crossover

The Maserati new compact crossover with a four-cylinder engine is here to challenge the Porsche Macan and Alfa Romeo Stelvio. The brand-new addition to the Italian marques fleet strikes right at the heart of the Luxury SUV segment. Offering a selection of internal combustion, hybrid, and, soon the first full-electric SUV in Maserati’s history.

The Range

Currently, there are three versions, GT, Modena, and Trofeo, all with eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive as standard. The air suspension and adaptive dampers are standard on the Trofeo and optional on the others.

The GT is powered by a four-cylinder mild-hybrid engine capable of delivering 300 hp. The Modena boasts a four-cylinder 330-hp mild-hybrid engine and the mighty Trofeo is equipped with a high-performance 3.0L 530-hp petrol V6 based on the Nettuno engine fitted to the MC20. It also comes with 21-inch wheels and upgraded brakes. The Trofeo will propel you to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds with a top speed 285 km/h.

A true contender for the Porsche Macan GTS and the BMW X3 M. A combination of fine materials, luxury wood, carbon fiber, and top-notch leather grace the range. Grecale Folgore, harnessing a 400V technology, will be the fourth and most anticipated of the line-up, being the first full-electric SUV from Maserati. Expected release date, mid-2023.

The Look

Embodying Maserati’s new visual symbol, the front features a low and imposing grille while the rear boomerang taillights are inspired by the Giugiaro 3200 GT.

Inside the cabin, Maserati’s clockface is digital for the first time, effectively serving as a voice-controlled Jeeves. The touch-based technology of Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) and Maserati Connect are complemented by the 12.3-inch and 8.8-inch screens, respectively.

The Price

While we do not have information on the UAE retail price, the US market for the Maserati Grecale GT starts at $64,995. The Modena Limited Edition starts at $78,895. The Trofeo price has not been determined yet.
