McLaren Automotive has unveiled the new Artura Spider for the first time in the Middle East. The Artura Spider is McLaren’s first-ever high-performance hybrid convertible, which has undergone significant upgrades to its power, performance and driver engagement. With the car being an open-top convertible, the new Artura Spider adds a remarkable new dimension to the Artura model.
Weight advantage
McLaren’s new Artura Spider is among the lightest convertibles. It enjoys a weight advantage of up to 83kg and a remarkable power-to-weight ratio which the company has further enhanced. McLaren used a recalibrated high-performance hybrid powertrain, which is now able to release an overall power of 700PS (690bhp).
“We have upgraded the powertrain and the chassis systems to deliver more power, more dynamic performance and even higher levels of connection with the driver,” stated Robert Holtshausen, market director, Middle East & Africa.

Pirelli Cyber Tyre technology
On its latest model, McLaren utilized Pirelli Cyber Tyre technology to increase dynamic precision on the Artura Spider. Electronic sensors inside each tire generate real-time data that allows drivers to fully exploit the potential of the tires. Hence, its software and hardware seamlessly integrate into the Artura’s electronic systems.
In addition, Pirelli’s noise cancelling system, which uses a sound-absorbing device on the inside of the tire walls, reduces vibration and noise.
In addition to unveiling the new Artura Spider in the Middle East, McLaren introduced the MY25 Artura Coupe. This car has undergone all the same improvements, further enhancing its status as the next-generation supercar.
“The Middle East is a key market for McLaren Automotive, and the new Artura Spider represents the ideal all-round offering for our discerning customers,” added Holtshausen.
