The value of real estate transactions in Oman by the end of January 2025 reached OMR185.5 million ($480.5 million), compared to OMR207.8 million during the same period in 2024, indicating a decline of 10.8 percent, according to data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Fees for legal transactions
Fees collected for completed legal transactions totaled OMR7 million ($18.2 million), reflecting an increase of 5.6 percent. The value of sale contracts amounted to OMR79.9 million (down by 20.9 percent) for 5,688 contracts, which represents a decrease of 7.1 percent.

Mortgage contract values
The traded value of mortgage contracts saw a slight decrease of 0.8 percent until the end of January 2025, reaching OMR104.5 million ($271.4 million) for 1,705 contracts. In contrast, the number of barter contracts stood at 152, with a total value of OMR1 million.
Title deeds analysis
The number of title deeds issued by the end of January 2025 dropped by 0.1 percent, amounting to 20,588. Among these, the number of title deeds issued for GCC citizens reached 119, showcasing an increase of 19 percent.
