Thierry Antinori, Qatar Airways chief commercial officer stated, “Qatar Airways’ vast network of global destinations is complemented with robust flight frequencies for the benefit of our passengers.” The airline continually enhances its network by proactively anticipating market trends and adapting to the evolving travel demands of its global community, catering to both leisure and business travelers alike.
Last month, Qatar Airways CEO Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer disclosed that more than 50 percent of the airline’s Boeing 777 fleet, nearly 30 aircraft, now feature Starlink’s Wi-Fi connectivity.Â
In January, Qatar Airways announced its latest expansion into South America with the launch of two new weekly flights on Wednesdays and Sundays, starting in early summer 2025. The new flights will connect Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha to Bogotá El Dorado International Airport (BOG) in Colombia, and then continue to Caracas Simon Bolivar International Airport (CCS) in Venezuela. The return flight from Caracas will operate non-stop to Doha.
In October 2024, Qatar Airways took the future of in-flight connectivity to greater heights by operating the world’s first Starlink-equipped Boeing 777 aircraft from Doha to London. This milestone established the airline as an industry leader in bringing advanced technology on board. Qatar Airways is the largest and first carrier in the MENA region to offer passengers Starlink ultra-high-speed, low-latency internet. Starlink is free to all passengers and operates from gate to gate.
