Revenues from Qatar’s computing market are set to reach $65.5 million this year at a compound annual growth rate of 4.83 percent, raising the market value to $82.92 million by 2029. The latest report from Statista also reveals that the U.S. computing sector will likely generate the most revenues globally with a market volume of $20.37 billion this year.
In addition, the report expects the number of users in Qatar’s computing market to reach 525,300 by 2029. Meanwhile, user penetration will likely reach 13.4 percent in 2024 and rise to 18.9 percent by 2029. Statista added that it expects the average revenue per user to reach $182.20.
This year, computing market revenues in Qatar will mostly come from laptop sales at $26.61 million. In second place comes desktop PCs with revenues of $10.47 million. Following closely, the report expects storage units to contribute $10.07 million to the sector’s overall revenues. Meanwhile, PC monitors and projectors will add $6.66 million to total revenues.
In Qatar, sales preferences reveal that consumers prefer to buy their gadgets offline, with offline sales making up 66 percent of total sales. However, Statista expects this number to decline to only 59.6 percent by 2029.

One of Qatar’s strategic priorities this year is to expand the information technology sector by 50 percent. Notably, the country has almost achieved comprehensive broadband coverage, access to every home, 5G coverage, and nearly 100 percent internet usage for individuals.
