Saudi, UAE pledge $3 billion to Yemen

Saudi announced that a decision has been taken for emergency support to the economy in Yemen, totaling $3 billion, as follows:

Firstly: $2 billion is pledged equally between the UAE and Saudi in support of Yemen’s Central Bank.

Secondly: Saudi will also provide $1 billion for the purchase of oil derivatives in addition to supporting urban and development projects.

Saudi also said it will provide $300 million to the UN humanitarian program in Yemen to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people and improve their living conditions.
