The fourth edition of the Sharjah Events Festival, organized by the Sharjah Government Media Bureau from December 12-15, kicks off today at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah. Under the slogan ‘Shining with Events’, the festival offers a diverse selection of games, entertainment activities, and events targeting all age groups.
The Sharjah Events Festival features 52 events and activities by various organizations and entities participating in the popular annual event, ranging from competitions and challenges to exciting games and interactive shows. This year’s colorful festival is themed around forest adventures, offering the public a rare opportunity to enjoy unforgettable experiences over four days from 4 PM to 10 PM.
Festival offerings
The Sharjah Events Festival’s theme this year revolves around adventures in the forests. The festival will offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy interactive shows and games such as treasure hunting that combine learning with fun, challenges, and excitement. Vibrant designs and color motifs enhance the atmosphere of nature and an enchanting forest environment.
Featuring thrilling activities such as rowing contests, treasure hunts, puppet shows, balloon shows, balance chair challenges, and interactive games that combine great fun and learning, the Sharjah Events Festival promises endless fun for all members of the family. Audiences can also go on a magical train journey in an interactive show where they can participate in exciting contests hosted by the festival’s outdoor theatre.
Live theatrical performances
The festival has special areas for carnivals and live theatrical performances in addition to an inviting food court boasting a number of world-class restaurants and eateries that offer a rich culinary experience to festival visitors.
The chief attraction of the festival this year is a live show of popular cartoon characters, Masha and the Bear, who are accompanied by their friends, panda, tiger, and penguin, recreating the magical atmosphere of the jungle. The show is presented twice daily between 4:30 PM and 9 PM.

Educational events
The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) recently announced its participation at the Sharjah Events Festival where it will organize a range of events and activities in partnership with private schools throughout the emirate.
On the inaugural day, students from private schools will commence the program with a screening of an educational film, while the audience will have the opportunity to engage with the festival’s mascots, “Omar and Shamsa,” during a segment that includes questions and prizes.
On the second day of the Sharjah Events Festival, there will be a theatrical performance on stage, followed by two showcases featuring private school students. Furthermore, the day will feature an educational film screening along with interactive competitions for the audience.
On the third day, a fusion of entertainment and education will take place, featuring activities like a fishing segment, an educational film screening, and two performances by the Al Yarmouk branch of private national schools. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in cultural and recreational competitions.
Finally, the concluding day will showcase artistic and crafting abilities with workshops focused on lampshade-making and floral arrangement. An educational film screening will accompany this, along with various competitions designed to foster interaction and participation among all age groups.
