The Sharjah Police announced on Friday that it has signed a cooperation agreement with Emirates Auction to organize the sale of special vehicle number plates of the third category and other categories.
Under the agreement, Emirates Auction will act as the agent responsible for marketing and selling distinguished vehicle number plates in Sharjah, through online or public auctions. This step confirms the commitment of both parties to providing innovative traffic services that contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction.
Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, commander-in-chief of the Sharjah Police General Command, emphasized that the signing of this agreement falls within the framework of the Sharjah Government’s strategic direction, based on its vision to develop smart services and create effective solutions that meet customer needs and keep pace with the best approved systems and applications.
He also expressed his appreciation for the fruitful cooperation with Emirates Auctions, a trusted strategic partner that contributes to supporting Sharjah Police’s drive towards smart transformation and institutional excellence.

Earlier this month, the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) issued a decision to regulate the auction sale of special vehicle number plates in the emirate. Under this decision, the Sharjah Police will organize and supervise auctions, establish conditions and regulations, specify plate numbers and category codes, contract with specialized companies, and manage any additional tasks assigned by the Executive Council.
