His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, has announced the organization of the ‘World Sports Summit’ in Dubai, scheduled for December 29-30. This event is expected to attract the largest global assembly related to the sports sector, featuring prominent sports stars, experts, and decision-makers from around the world.
His Highness stated: “This summit will bring together top officials, coaches, specialists, and current and former sports stars from around the globe in Dubai to shape the future of the sports sector on an international scale. Through this unique gathering in Dubai, we aim to harness new opportunities in the sector while addressing current and future challenges, ensuring that sport continues to play a vital role in uniting people, inspiring generations, supporting the economy, developing talent, and becoming increasingly enjoyable and beneficial for its fans and followers.”
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan further remarked: “This summit will explore the future of both team and individual sports, as well as investigate ways to bolster national teams and sports clubs to improve their performance. We also emphasize the significant role of educational institutions and sports academies in nurturing talent of all ages across various sporting disciplines.”
Comprehensive program
The World Sports Summit will be organized by the Dubai Sports Council. Set to take place at the Madinat Jumeirah, the event will feature a comprehensive program that includes panel discussions, keynote speeches, workshops, and meetings. Participants from diverse sporting bodies, teams, and federations will convene to discuss the future of the industry within the frameworks of economic, legislative, regulatory, and social contexts.
